There are no new cases of COVID-19 reported today leaving just two active cases in the province.
Health Minister John Haggie hosted today’s weekly update solo as the Chief Medical Officer of Health is taking some time off.
Minister Haggie says even though the situation here remains encouraging, it’s important not to become complacent.
The country is now seeing a resurgence of COVID-19 in areas where “control was felt to be achieved,” says Haggie and the province needs to on guard for numbers similar to those seen in March and April with the funeral home cluster.
To date, 41,471 people have been tested for COVID-19 in this province.
