Provincial and St. John’s Regional fire crews responded to the area of a forest fire in the east end of St. John’s this afternoon.

Smoke could be seen rising from a wooded area behind facilities on East White Hills Road.

A water bomber made steady trips across the city to knock the forest fire down.
