A man has been charged with sexual assault at a business on Kenmount Road last night in an incident which also resulted in serious injuries to an RNC officer.
Police were called about a suspicious person around the business just after 7:30. In addition to sexual assault, the 20-year-old man faces charges of aggravated assault against a police officer.
The victim did not require medical treatment, and the RNC officer’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The accused will be in court today.
