Public health officials have released more information about that presumptive COVID-19 case at the Voisey’s Bay mine in Labrador.
They say the case involves a man between 20 and 39 years of age, and that he is a resident of this province.
They say the man is isolating at the site and contact tracing is underway.
Health officials met with the company, Vale, about this case this morning.
They say the case has not yet been confirmed by public health. Therefore, the number of active cases in the province remains at three.

There is a presumptive case of COVID-19 at the Voisey’s Bay Mine site in Labrador.
According to a statement from the Nunatsiavut Government, the worker first came to the site on Monday. He passed all screening protocols initially, but began exhibiting symptoms on Wednesday and was immediately put into isolation.
A subsequent test confirmed a case of COVID-19. That test will be considered presumptive until it can be confirmed by public health.
Contact tracing is underway, and the risk to the public is believed to be low.
They say more statements will be made as further information becomes available.
