Unifor begins the ratification process today for what is being labelled as the “final offer” for the workers from Loblaw.
Over the weekend, mediator Wayne Fowler delivered the document to Unifor. Lead negotiator Chris Macdonald says he was told it will be the last offer given to the workers, and that it is the best the company can do.
The union will begin presenting the contract to members today, with voting taking place throughout the week.
Macdonald says strike action will not end during the ratification process. He says secondary picketing will cease, but the 11 regular picket lines will continue.
#Dominion members will hold ratification votes on the final offer by @loblawco starting on Monday. A full schedule will be sent to members tomorrow. https://t.co/oKdSW63Eds
