The Crow’s Nest Officers’ Club is commemorating Remembrance Day 2020 by announcing the release of their documentary film, Fifty Nine Steps to the Crow’s Nest.
The downtown club tries to keep itself as close to its wartime look as possible, the ultimate compliment being from a veteran who says it never changes. Except for security or safety issues, they try to keep change to a minimum.
Originally released last year for limited screenings, the film will be released on the Crow’s Nest Officers’ Club YouTube channel and its other digital platforms for a wider audience at 2 p.m. NST on Tuesday, November 10.
Club treasurer Margaret Morris says there are many stories from the war. Even though the outdoor configuration has changed, it is still 59 steps.
