West Coast RCMP seized vehicles from two drivers along the Hansen Memorial Highway within less than an hour of each other.
The first incident occurred around 3:00 on Saturday afternoon, when an officer patrolling the highway witnessed someone speeding at 110 km/h in a 50 zone.
The 20-year-old was pulled over and charged under the highway traffic act. His licence was suspended and vehicle seized.
However, while the officer was wrapping up the first traffic stop, he flagged down an ATV driver also travelling along the highway.
It turns out that the 55-year-old Stephenville man hit the road without insurance. As result, the officer charged the driver and seized his ATV.
