The MHA for the Corner Brook area is dispelling rumours that the Western School of Nursing program is moving into the Civic Centre Annex in the city.
Cabinet Minister Gerry Byrne says Grenfell College is looking for a new home for the nursing program, but it will not be in the Annex.
He says that facility is the main host for numerous events, including conferences and conventions.
Byrne says the program will continue to be offered in Corner Brook, but they’re exploring potential homes.
He notes that there are lots of empty buildings in Corner Brook like the Rec Plex and Presentation Elementary School.
