Two young people were soaked, but otherwise fine, after a vehicle ended up in the water in Petty Harbour yesterday evening.
Unofficial reports indicate that the vehicle, with two people inside, was parked on the frosty slipway when it started to slide into the water.
One of the two occupants managed to escape on their own, while the other had to be rescued by someone who jumped into the water.
Some heavy equipment had to be brought in to lift the vehicle from the water.
