The lumpfish hatchery proposed as part of businessman Paul Antle’s Marbase development in Marystown has been released from further environmental assessment.
Antle calls the hatchery the “cornerstone” of what will be an aquaculture service hub on the Burin Peninsula.
Antle says the next step will be to secure an aquaculture license, complete an engineering design and finalize financial arrangements.
