Cygnus Gymnastics is advising their members that public health has requested two contact tracing lists from them.
Yesterday, the UK variant of the virus, which is more contagious than the original, was confirmed to be the cause of the St. John’s-metro area outbreak.
At the emergency COVID-19 briefing last night, Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Janice Fitzgerald announced that the province would be moving back to Alert Level 5, and confirmed that testing would be increased to try to catch as many cases as possible.
A memo sent to members from Cygnus states they have been contacted by public health for contacting tracing lists after two people who recently attended classes tested positive for COVID-19.
The first case last attended class on January 27 from 4-4:45 p.m., and the second last attended on February 4 from 3-3:45 p.m.
Cygnus states they have not been informed of specific measures people need to take, and to follow the advice of public health should they be contacted.
