After approximately a week without phones or internet, service to the remote Labrador town of Rigolet has been fully restored.
The outage was caused by heavy ice damage along a long stretch of cable serving the community.
Technicians were not permitted to fly into the town until Thursday, where they worked until power was restored this afternoon.
The outage sparked concern about residents ability to request mail-in voting kits for the upcoming election, as in-person voting has been cancelled.
