Firefighters from Grand Falls-Windsor made quick work of a tractor-trailer fire near the town’s weigh scales yesterday morning.
Amid sub-zero temperatures, fire crews and municipal police responded to the area around 8:00 a.m. Flames broke out near the rear wheels of the tractor-trailer’s load, scorching the sides of the container.
Fire Chief Vince MacKenzie says the incident was quickly and safely taken care of, as firefighters brought it under control.
There were no injuries reported.
