A family of three has been displaced following a house fire on the west coast.

Fire broke out at a house in Massey Drive just after 1:00 yesterday morning. The bungalow, located next to the local town hall and fire department, was damaged.

A mother and her school-aged son and daughter escaped without injury.

The Canadian Red Cross is helping the family with emergency lodging, food, and winter clothing.
