Newfoundland Power says overhead line damage was behind an outage in the downtown St. John’s area today.
Crews responded to the area before 2 p.m. this afternoon to investigate the cause of an outage affecting over 1,300 customers.
Before 3 p.m., that number was reduced to just over 150.
At that time, Newfoundland Power estimated that power would be fully restored by 5:30 p.m.
