The province’s Supreme Court is pivoting in light of the move to Alert Level 5 during the pandemic.
For the rest of February and all of March, in-person appearances will be postponed, with some exceptions.
Only urgent or emergency matters will proceed virtually next week and limited filings will be allowed by email. As of March 1, the court will resume holding non-urgent virtual appearances, and will again provide access to drop boxes for filing and picking up documents.
Meanwhile, the Court of Appeal has suspended all hearings for the week of February 22 to February 26, all hearings will be rescheduled.
The Court of Appeal Registry will remain closed to the public until further notice. However, the court will continue to hear emergency or urgent matters
