Eastern Health is providing more information on the shift to Alert Level 5 protocols.

Patient belongings can be dropped off at the door and will be brought up to the patient by a staff member.

All belongings are to be placed in a clear bag and marked with the patient’s name and the sender’s name. Clothes must be freshly washed, and any food items must be pre-packaged and not require refrigeration.

Parking fees have been suspended at the Health Sciences and St. Clare’s in order to reduce the number of high-touch points.

As well, television and telephone fees are being suspended to enhance patient comfort while visitor restrictions are in place.

All cafeterias will remain operational with the exception of the Carbonear General Hospital.

The Tim Hortons outside the Health Sciences cafeteria will remain open, while the one near the main entrance will be closed.
