Retired public service employees are coming forward to offer their services with an increased number of workers in isolation as a result of the recent COVID outbreak.
NAPE President Jerry Earle says retired public service workers are coming forward all the time offering to fill whatever gaps need to be filled.
He says retired government employees including registered nurses, NAPE and CUPE members, and former management are all stepping up to offer their services. He says it’s typical of what Newfoundlanders and Labradorians do when times get tough.
