Public Health officials are hoping to soon have a better idea of how COVID spread leading up to the lockdown two weeks ago.
Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Janice Fitzgerald notes that through the initial investigation they have seen spread not just within the school, but through other social activities as well.
However, health officials have not yet been able to fully analyze the epidemiology. Dr. Fitzgerald says that’s because the initial testing and contact tracing took up a lot of public health’s resources.
Now that things are slowing down, officials can dig deeper into the case and get a better understanding of how the transmission occurred.
