A Deer Lake man was arrested following an investigation into a break, enter and theft from a vehicle parked inside a secure compound at Premium Auto World in the community on May 15.

Deer Lake RCMP received a report just after 11 p.m. on Saturday night that a man had broken into the compound, entered a truck, and stole items from inside the vehicle.

Police located the man and the stolen property in a nearby wooded area.

The man was arrested and is facing charges of break and enter, mischief under $5,000, theft under $5,000, and possession of stolen property.

He was released from custody on conditions and is set to appear in court on June 1.
