Two men have been charged and another arrest is expected after a brazen ATM theft from the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s.
The RNC says two masked men wheeled a cart into the hospital shortly before 5:00, Wednesday morning.
The men placed an ATM onto the cart, loaded it into a nearby vehicle, and fled the scene.
An investigation led officers to a property in Paradise a short time later, where a search warrant revealed the stolen ATM.
Two 41-year-old men from Paradise were arrested and charged with theft over $5,000 and breaches, while one was charged for disguise with intent. A third arrest is anticipated.
Anyone with information that could assist the ongoing investigation is asked to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
