The provincial government has established a committee of industry experts to ensure that the 52 recommendations of the recent Oil and Gas Recovery Task Force are addressed.
The committee members include department representatives as well as industry players and advocates. They met for the first time earlier this week.
The committee consists of four working groups aligned with the Oil and Gas Recovery Task Force working groups. They include energy transition, exploration and development, policy and regulation, and supply chain.
The task force report was submitted to government on April 27, with the recommended establishment of an implementation committee within 60 days.
