A rally gets underway this afternoon against potential tuition increases and what the Canadian Federation of Students calls cuts to post-secondary education.
The rally is being planned in response to what the federation calls “regressive and short-sighted measures” that it says will “decimate” Memorial University.
NL Chairperson of the Canadian Federation of Students, Katherine McLaughlin says raising tuition will have a detrimental impact on the university and the province as a whole.
The rally gets underway this afternoon at 2:00 outside the Colonial Building near Bannerman Park.
