The recreational groundfish fishery is officially open.
The fishery will be open for a total of 39 days this year and will follow the same guidelines as last year.
It will be open on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from July 3 to September 6, with the Fall season set to run from September 25 to October 3.
There are no license or tag requirements for the 2021 season, which is open to both residents and non-residents.
The recreational catch is limited to five fish per day for each person in the boat, with a maximum of 15 fish, no matter how many fishers are on board.
As per usual, high-grading is not allowed.
