There are 13 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported in the province today, 12 of which are on board a ship anchored in Conception Bay.
The other case is a woman in the Eastern Health region, and is related to travel.
Public Health says the province is working closely with the Public Health Agency of Canada and Eastern Health in regards to the crew on board the ship in Conception Bay.
All crew members are isolating on board the vessel and there is no risk to the community.
The Iver Ambition was en route from Europe to Trois-Rivières, Quebec, when the crew started falling ill and pulled in at anchor in Conception Bay.
There are 17 active cases of COVID-19 in the province including the dozen crew members. Sixteen are in the Eastern Health region and one is in Central.
