A 45-year-old Cupids man is scheduled to appear in court on a number of charges after allegedly passing through a restaurant drive-thru while impaired.
Bay Roberts RCMP received a report early this morning of a suspected impaired driver, and found the vehicle pulling out of a fast food drive-thru.
The accused refused to provide breath samples for police when taken back to the detachment. Police say while in custody, the accused damaged a patrol vehicle on the way to the detachment and also caused damage to a wall inside the detachment.
He was released to appear in court at a later date on charges including refusal and damage to property. His vehicle was seized and his driver’s licence was suspended.
