Premier Andrew Furey recently met with Deputy Prime Minister Christia Freeland and federal Intergovernmental Affairs Minister Dominic LeBlanc to discuss energy issues including affordable electricity rates once Muskrat Falls comes on line.
In a statement issued to VOCM News, the Premier indicated that the federal and provincial governments are continuing to work towards a solution on rate mitigation.
The three discussed the issue Thursday evening. Premier Furey says he looks forward to sharing more information in the near future.
