Bayview Academy in St. George’s on the province’s west coast has been named a recipient of Indigo Canada’s Adopt-a-School program.
Marsha Alexander, a teacher/librarian at the school, says that means Indigo will chip in even more books for every $100 dollars of books purchased for the school.
She says they’re hoping to raise “a nice bit of money” to ensure their school classrooms are fully-stocked with new reading material, adding that her students are veracious readers that are always looking for new material.
