Softball Canada has announced the roster for the national men’s team that will compete at the Pan American Championships next year, and more than a third of them are from this province.
Shane Boland, Ryan Boland and Jason Hill of St. John’s, Sean Cleary and Brad Ezekiel of Harbour Main, and Colin Walsh of Petty Harbour all made the squad of 16 players.
In addition, John Hill of St. John’s and Les Howey of Conception Bay have been named assistant coaches.
The tournament, February 19-27 in Argentina, will serve as a qualifier for the 2022 Men’s Softball World Cup next November in New Zealand.
