Newfoundland and Labrador reported nine new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday.
Six of the cases are in the Central Health region while the remaining three are within Eastern Health’s jurisdiction.
All nine cases are under investigation.
There were also 19 new recoveries reported Saturday, with 17 of those in the Central region. There are 12 people in hospital due to the virus, with five in critical care.
Four new presumptive positive cases have also been identified and as well as one false positive in the Eastern Health region.
There are now 169 active cases of COVID-19 in the province, with 149 of those in the Central Health region.
There also two new advisories regarding businesses in that area:
- Robin’s Donuts, 13 Little Bay Road, Springdale on Tuesday, September 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 12 noon.
- Marie’s Restaurant, 63 Little Bay Road, Springdale, Saturday, September 25 from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
Anyone who visited these locations and have symptoms of COVID-19 are required to isolate until 24 hours after their symptoms resolve and they receive a negative test result. If you were there at those times and do not have symptoms you are not required to isolate until you receive a negative test result. However, while awaiting the results you should monitor for symptoms and isolate if they develop.
