Over 152,000 people have download their virtual proof of vaccination since Friday.
Newfoundland and Labrador’s mandatory vaccine passport system officially comes into effect on October 22nd.
Demand was so high when the accompanying NLVaxPass app was launched that government’s website crashed, prompting a virtual queue to be launched.
According to Premier Andrew Furey, over 152,600 people have downloaded their proof of vaccination, with 164,000 people having gone through the virtual queue since 10 p.m. Friday night.
Thank you for your patience, Newfoundland and Labrador. A total of 164,000 people have gone through the #NLVaxPass queue since 10pm Friday, after high demand early on. Only 88 in the queue, with a 1 minute wait time. 152,628 successful downloads of proof of vaccinations so far.
