Police caught up with a man in Conception Bay South late last night after he stole a vehicle downtown St. John’s.
They pulled him over on Peacekeepers Way after he had initially tried to flee.
The 43-year-old faces a raft of charges including flight from police, drunk driving, and five counts of breaching court orders.
He was also charged with failing to appear in court.
He will appear before a judge today.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a 35-year-old man is in custody after an incident in the centre city involving a commercial vehicle.
The man who was driving the vehicle has been charged with possession of stolen property and breach of a court order.
He, too, will appear in court today.
