The Pharmacy Association was disappointed that despite recent conversations and a presentation made to government, no mention was made of the role of pharmacists in a plan announced this week to renew the province’s health care system.
President Janice Audeau says pharmacists were very surprised by the omission.
She says they prepared a “very comprehensive” presentation that was given to the Health Accord.
In addition, they met with the minister as recently as two to three weeks ago, who Audeau says seemed supportive of the inclusion of pharmacists in the team-based approach announced this week. Despite that, no mention was made of the role of pharmacists.
