The Newfoundland Growlers are looking to return home as preparations are underway at the CBS Arena for the Growlers upcoming homestand.
The first six home games of the Growler’s hockey season will be played in CBS. Team and arena staff are working to make sure the arena is ready.
Newfoundland Growlers manager of sales and fan relations, Kara Puddicombe, says while arrangements for ticket sales are not yet complete, they will be releasing the information in the coming days on social media as the games move from Mile One to a smaller venue.
Puddicombe says a big part of the preparations for the move involves rescheduling six children’s birthday parties.
She says they all put their heads together, and will now be hosting the parties at the Rec Room in the Avalon Mall.
The birthday child and 17 of their friends will play in the arcade before getting a meal and a visit from Buddy the Puffin, as well as a Growlers jersey with their name on the back.
