The town of Paradise is upgrading one of its sports fields, which they say will help address a huge demand for such activities in the community.
The town recently broke ground on a $2-million project to construct a new multi-sport turf at the Dianne Whalen Memorial Soccer Complex.
Mayor Dan Bobbett says there’s a “huge” interest for such a facility in the community, citing impressive statistics from the Paradise Soccer Club.
He states that last year there were 1,100 kids signed up for the soccer program, noting that there are similar numbers for baseball, and football numbers are on the rise.
