A 24-year-old Grand Falls-Windsor man is facing charges of child luring and making sexually explicit material available to a person under the age of 16.

The RCMP-RNC Integrated Internet Child Exploitation Team arrested Justin White on December 13 after receiving information regarding suspected child luring. Police say a young person was contacted online through social media and was asked to share nude images.

The young person would not provide the requested images and stopped contact with the alleged offender according to police.

The investigation led police to charges against White who was arrested and released on conditions designed to protect the general public.

He’s scheduled to appear in Grand Falls-Windsor provincial court on January 26.
