The St. John’s Board of Trade is challenging city council to divulge the details of what cost-saving options were explored in its recent budget preparations.
The city is raising mil rates by 0.6 mils for residential property owners and 0.8 for commercial property owners.
Board of Trade CEO AnnMarie Boudreau says they want to know that the city applied the same rigor and creativity to its budget process before looking to taxpayers.
