Heavenly Creatures are holding their annual pet food donation drive.
The no-kill animal rescue organization is looking for donations to keep all the animals in their care fed, as they do not receive any government funding.
Currently, the organization has 100 cats in its care, as well as feeding many dogs through their pet foodbank for low income pet owners.
Most of the food and money donations the organization receives for the entire year come during the food drive.
They are currently in dire need of wet dog food, wet and dry cat and kitten food, litter boxes, litter scoops, scratching posts, and money for vet bills.
Director Jessica Rendell says the first week of the campaign did not see many donations, so they are asking anyone who can donate to get in touch.
She says it takes a lot of money and literally tons of food to get through the winter, so they need more people to come out and support the little ones who can’t support themselves.
