It was down to the wire for a planeload of passengers who landed at St. John’s International yesterday afternoon just at the 3:00 p.m. deadline set for new COVID travel regulations.
As of 3:00 yesterday afternoon, any travellers arriving in the province must self-isolate for five days—regardless of their vaccine status. In addition they must take a rapid COVID test on each of those five days before they can leave self-isolation.
The passengers on board AC684 generated great attention on social media with people watching anxiously as they speculated whether the flight would make the deadline.
