Multiple towns across the province presented their budgets for 2022 last night, with no extra cost to residents
The Town of Paradise passed a $39.4-million dollar budget that maintains the residential and commercial mil rates and fees. Paradise also tabled an investment plan focusing on infrastructure upgrades, small business support, and recreational and environmental initiatives.
Grand Falls-Windsor and Carbonear also table their budgets, both coming in with no mill rate increase for small businesses or residents, however, some larger businesses in Grand Falls-Windsor will have to pay more as the level of tax will now depend on the tax category in which the business falls.
The budgets are available on the towns’ websites.
