A man has been arrested for a Christmas Eve armed robbery in Corner Brook.
A man wielding an axe entered a business on West Street just before 11:00 p.m. Friday night, getting away with some merchandise. He fled on foot.
The RNC located a suspect a short time later on a residential street in the city. He was arrested without incident and officers also recovered the weapon and stolen property.
A 49-year-old man remains in custody until a court appearance today.
There were no injuries.
