The City of Corner Brook has made changes to schedules ahead of the holiday break.
Corner Brook city hall will be closed on Monday and Tuesday for the Christmas and Boxing Day stat holidays. Garbage pick-up will not go ahead on those two days, but will resume on Wednesday. After the holidays, residents can put out up to six bags of garbage. There is no limit on blue recycling bags.
Excess holiday waste can be brought to the bulk holiday drop-off bins, located at the Corner Brook Civic Centre parking lot from Monday, December 27 to Monday, January 3.
There is a winter parking ban in place. However, the ban will be lifted on New Year’s Eve to encourage residents not to drive impaired. Residents will have until 11:59 p.m. on January first to remove a parked vehicle, in the event of a storm.
More information about garbage allowed can be found on the City’s website.
