New visitor restrictions are in place on two units of the Agnes Pratt Home in St. John’s.
The change for the Stella Burry Place unit is the result of a possible COVID exposure, and is a temporary measure while the investigation continues.
Restrictions have also been placed on the Southview Unit due to an increase in a possible influenza-like illness. Immediate family members are advised to contact the home directly at 709-752-8950 for further information.
Meanwhile, Labrador-Grenfell Health is also imposing new rules on its long-term care facilities.
Only one essential support person will be permitted to visit a long-term care resident.
There are also numerous new guidelines in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, with one essential support person permitted to visit.
In addition, new visitation guidelines are being implemented at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre in Twilingate, with the same regulations.
The public is asked not to visit any health-care facility if they feel ill or are symptomatic.
