The city of St. John’s is closing a number of streets around Quidi Vidi Lake on New Year’s Eve to accommodate the fireworks displace scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
The Boulevard will be closed to traffic from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. from Legion Road to East White Hills Road.
Meanwhile Lake Avenue, Carnell Drive, Clancey Drive and Lakeview Avenue will be closed from 6:30 top 8:30 p.m.
Parking will be available in the Memorial Dominion parking lot.
Residents are being asked to view the fireworks from inside their vehicle.
