Gas prices are going up again this week, according to the latest predictions.
Dan McTeague, a gas analyst and President of Canadians for Affordable Energy, says the best case scenario will see gas go up by about 1.7 cents per litre, and diesel go up by 3.8 cents.
He says stove and heating oil will also be on the rise with a 4 cent increase.
He says markets have come up this week in what he’s calling a “Santa Claus rally.” He anticipates that next week will be a “carbon copy” with more price increases on the horizon.
