One of the largest Roman Catholic diocese’s in Newfoundland and Labrador is closing all of its churches for in-person celebrations of Mass due to the current outbreak.
Bishop Robert Anthony Daniels of the Diocese of Grand Falls says he has learned of someone testing positive who attended Christmas Eve Mass at two of their largest parishes.
The Diocese includes Grand Falls-Windsor, Gander, Buchans, Avondale, Baie Verte, Holyrood, Harbour Grace, Tilting and Whitbourne among many other parishes.
Bishop Daniels says they will monitor the situation carefully and provide updates as soon as more information is available.
