RCMP are investigating the theft of property connected to two separate break and enters in Buchans on the weekend.
Police were called around 10 a.m. Sunday about a break in at a warehouse on Main Street in Buchans. Surveillance footage showed that a suspect or suspects broke into the building through a rear window around 6 a.m. Sunday, and a large number of equipment and tools were removed.
A dark coloured pickup truck was captured on video leaving the area around the time of the break in.
Stolen from the property were a red 3000 Watt Honda generator, a black 1000 Watt Hyundai generator, a blue Miller MIG Millermatic 211 welder on a tilted cart, a yellow DeWalt grinder and batteries, and a red Bid Red 6-ton floor jack.
Meanwhile, police are also investigating the theft of a Craftsman chop saw from a garage on the Buchan’s Highway on January 3.
