Just one day after gas prices went up by four and a half cents a litre, gas and a number of other fuel prices have taken a huge hike.
Gas is up by 14.4 cents a litre this morning due to what the Public Utilities Board calls extraordinary commodity market developments.
The PUB is intervening to adjust the maximum price for regulated petroleum products.
Gas is up 14.4 cents, diesel is by 24.8 cents a litre, furnace oil is up 20.19 cents and stove oil on the island is up 23.26 cents a litre.
Stove heating fuel in Labrador will increase by 20.98 cents a litre.
There is no change in the price of propane.
