There’s a new airline setting up in St. John’s.
Lynx Air, formerly Enerjet, will be offering non-stop flights from St. John’s to Toronto-Pearson International Airport, as part of what it calls a major expansion from the Toronto region.
As part of the program, the flights will also be offered out of Hamilton Airport.
Other destinations offered by the “ultra-affordable” airline include Halifax, Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.
A spokesperson for St. John’s International Airport calls the announcement “welcome news”, adding that the key route fits well with the Come Home Year Program, as well as the airport’s ongoing Air Service Development work.
