Residents in the capital city are concerned about the condition of a set of steps in the downtown region.
The concrete steps at the bottom of Carter’s Hill in St. John’s are in rough shape, with portions of the railings, and steps themselves, becoming completely detached.
The metal handrail is hanging loose about 8 to 10 feet off the ground, and a barricade is lying on the grass below the stairs along with broken concrete.
VOCM News has reached out to city officials for comment.
